Roadmaster Comfort Ride Slipper Springs
Roadmaster Comfort Ride Slipper Springs 2500-80 are a premium suspension upgrade designed to replace standard eye-to-eye leaf springs on trailers and fifth wheels. This system is engineered specifically for owners who want to eliminate the jarring "road shock" often transferred from the trailer to the tow vehicle. By utilizing a heavy-duty slipper design with an integrated roller, these springs allow the trailer suspension to move freely, significantly smoothing out the ride on rough or uneven pavement.
Unlike traditional leaf springs that bind and squeak, the Comfort Ride system uses a specialized slipper end that glides on a roller. This eliminates the need for shackles and heavy-duty grease zerks, providing a virtually maintenance-free solution that improves both the longevity of your trailer and the comfort of your journey.
Features of the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Slipper Springs 2500-80:
-
Slipper-Style Design: Replaces traditional shackles with a gliding roller to eliminate binding and friction.
-
High-Performance Spring Steel: Manufactured for maximum durability and consistent load support under heavy weight.
-
Integrated Roller Mechanism: Allows the spring to move independently, absorbing road energy before it hits the chassis.
-
Maintenance-Free Operation: Reduces the need for constant lubrication and replaces wear-prone plastic bushings.
-
Application-Specific Fit: Designed to match various axle ratings and trailer weight requirements.
Benefits of the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Slipper Springs 2500-80:
-
Drastic Reduction in Road Shock: Protects the trailer’s contents and structural integrity by absorbing vertical impacts.
-
Eliminates "Chucking" and Jarring: Provides a smoother towing experience by reducing the transfer of energy to the tow vehicle.
-
Quiet Towing: The roller design eliminates the loud "creaking" and "popping" associated with traditional shackle suspensions.
-
Improved Trailer Tracking: Helps the trailer stay more stable and centered behind the tow vehicle, even on bumpy roads.
-
Extended Suspension Life: By reducing friction and stress on the mounting points, the entire suspension system lasts longer.
Note: the leaf spring system must be used in conjunction with a shock absorber system, sold separately. See below.
